With the success of our ypipe kit on the 996tt and 997tt, we did a hybrid and built this new part to work with the OEM intake on the 997.2 turbo. Airflow restrictions can always hamper performance and power and this part like any other does that as well. Our ypipe kit has smooth mandrel 3inch bends from a 4inch collector that goes to the throttlebody. For fitment reasons, we then neck down to 2.25inches to fit on the stock boost hoses. The stock boost hoses are much like a rubber brake line that expands outwards under pressure. This causes a loss in boost pressure and can sometimes relate to the hose blowing off the turbo or y-pipe leaving you stranded. Looking at the stock y design in front of the throttle body, we new there was improvements to be made.

This throttle body is the same size as the Cayenne tt throttle body we use on our 996tt and 997tt upgrade kits. The stock y-pipe is a 2 piece plastic y design that is smooth on the inside with a "deflector" internally to channel air. The bad part about the stock one is it goes from a 78mm id at the throttle body down to a approximately 51mm diameter y split. This then connects to rubber boost hoses that expand under pressure.
