23 wheel horsepower is gain by adding this intake to your Porsche 996 or 997 car. This intake has been tested numerous times on stock cars at the K&N facility gaining these numbers!
in addition to improved power, the K&N intake will give your engine a deeper sound on acceleration. Faster throttle response, and improved mid to high rpm performance is gained. No ecu tuning is necessary to achieve this horsepower gain. Although, we do vrtuned ecu tuning which out performs giac and is cheaper in price to gain an additional 10 wheel horsepower.
Installation can be done with basic hand tools. Total time for install is about 1 hour.

Replaces the compliant factory rubber bushing with a precision teflon-lined spherical bearing for increased front suspension rigidity, quicker steering response, and better handling.
Two sets of mounting holes allow for more than 1 deg of extra negative camber.
The housing is cnc machined from 6061-t6 aluminum billet, providing high-strength, light weight, and a perfect match to the factory mounting surface.
The spherical bearing is securely clamped in place in the billet housing. Other designs use a small retainer ring to trap the bearing in a bore, which can result in annoying rattling and even possible failure.

Re-engineered and tig welded from chrome-moly steel,the quick six mounting kit enables you to immediately bolt a six-cylinder engine into your 914-4, using the factory engine pods. the '73-76 bodies, however, do require the purchase of the early rubber engine mounts. The bulkhead mount is for the serious six conversion. Welded in by a competent mechanic, it allows you to eliminate the four cylinder mounting pods allowing more clearance for valve adjust, easy removal of the rear shift bar and most importantly shifts the center of weight further forward to the factory recommended position. Powder coated finish.
