Fuel
Injected 2.0 and 1.7 Air Velocity Ram System.
Fits snugly under the rain tray
In this 914-2.0
1.7 fuel injected system, we used standard
PVC elbow with installed barb fittings. Apparently,
the K&N filter has a perfect diameter
match with PVC elbow. This is one of our most
successful items in our 914 inventory. The
above intake, will replace the large metal
air box of 2.0 and oil bath filtering system
of 1.7 fuel injected 914s with K&N oval-tapered
Filtercharger. It is a mistery why Bosch decided
to make Oil Bath filters for 1.7s. However,
the K&N filtercharger we provide also
dipped in oil. Go figure. Our system attaches
directly to the throttle body of 2.0 or 1.7.
The filter will be positioned right under
the open grill, taking advantage of the blown
air. All air dependent hoses will be connected
to the barb fittings on the PVC elbow as well
as one up front for the California models.
Our customers have reported that installing
less restricted exhaust and this filter system
significantly increase the engine response.
